Color of the Year!

I'm glad to see Emerald was the "color of the year". Green is one of my favorite colors. I love Ciate, but they are a little pricey which was why I was pretty excited when I found this kit at TJ Maxx for $10.00!

I was supposed to be Christmas shopping for other people, but there's no harm in picking up a little something for myself, right!?
The "sequins" in this kit, is really more like big pieces of glitter and I couldn't get the look on the box no matter how hard I tried, but I was happy with what I came up with. I got a lot of compliments.

Nubar - Reclaim

I can't remember if I ever posted this. I may have only worn it once before. But, as I rifled through my helmer it called to me. Darn, but this is prettier than I remembered!
 Pug approved too!

Prepare for awesomeness!

I honestly don't think I have ever come across a polish this amazing before.

Yes, this is the same polish! It flashes from green to almost purple.

It's made by a company called Ebalay, who I had never heard of before, but WOW! I need all of these now!! This color is "Golden Green Iridescent".
KKCenterHK suggests layering the iridescent polishes over black. I wanted to try it alone first because, well, I'm just stubborn like that! This was three coats. Drying time wasn't bad. Wear time was incredibly long. The brush is one of those nice, fluffy ones. Bottle is very similar to O.P.I.
 Look at that shine!

 No Flash.
 Flash.

KKCenterHK is offering a 10% discount with the code "willasshinytips".

This polish was sent to me for review.

Wet-n-Wild Drawn together by Force *Magnetic!*

How pretty is this bright emerald green?
I did a better job with the magnet this time. The formula on these polishes is fantastic.
I love the little square bottle. The brush is perfect.
My ONLY complaint is the magnet. It sucks. It's awkward to use and there is no finger guard to make sure you don't touch it to your nails. Otherwise, I'd have to say this is one of the better magnetic polishes out there right now.
I found these at Rite Aid for $4.99

Nails Inc. I am disappointed in you!

I LOVE Nails Inc. Magnetic polishes. I think they are one of the BEST magnetic polishes on the market. The colors are unique and the formula is smooth like buttah. The magnet choices however are rather limited, so how excited was I to see this nifty new fishnet magnet??
The reviews on Sephora were not good. A lot of people said the magnet is not strong enough to make a nice, crisp design. Glutton for punishment, I decided to try it anyway. I took a trip to the Sephora in our local mall and picked out this gorgeous green - "Spitalfields".
The color is great. The application is great. The magnet stinks. As you can see it only goes up a small portion of the nail. What's that on my ring finger you ask? That is the star magnet from a cheap-o $5 drugstor magnetic polish that I have not worn yet. I wanted to see if the problem was the magnet or the polish so I tried a different magnet. As you can see the polish works great, the magnet is the problem.
Maybe the fishnet pattern is too small to work properly? Whatever the reason, I'm a little heartbroken. Spitalfields is still a pretty fantastic color and I do have lots of other magnets I can use with it, but still - how cool would that fishnet magnet be if it worked??

Rimmel Goodies

Hard Metal

This color was so gorgeous! I had a BOGOfree coupon for Rimmel and these two are the only colors that stood out to me!

I bet if I look I have one or two polishes in this color already, but it's so pretty!!

Rags to Riches - a perfect metallic moss green!

It also happened to be a perfect match to my husband's car!
