Wet-n-Wild, fastdry in "Teal of Fortune."
vs.
Orly - "Halley's Comet."
I don't even have to look at my notes to label these.
Index and Ring: Teal of Fortune
Middle and Pinky: Halley's Comet

Halley’s Comet is a really pretty bluish-turquoise glittery almost foil like duochrome with a bit of green. A perfect “mermaid skin” color. Apparently Zoya’s “Charla” and O.P.I.’s “Catch Me in Your Net” are very close dupes. But, I don’t have either of those, so I am comparing it to Wet-n-Wild’s “Teal of Fortune”.

Results: They’re not all that close. Halley’s Comet absolutely blows the other one out of the water in terms of glittery goodness. The W-n-W is also quite sheer and runny. Plus, that damn brush is awful to use! But, I appreciate W-n-W trying so hard to copy the coolest colors out there. "Teal of Fortune" is a bit darker, less sparkly and more green than Halley's Comet, but they are pretty close.

This is all over a coat of Kleancolor “Retro Green” by the way.  J

Verdict: Not dupes
If I HAD to get rid of one: Wet-n-Wild goes.

Parade of Peacocks!

Index and Pinky: Spoiled - The Parking Meter Expired
Middle: Kleancolor - Retro Green
Ring: Essie - Dive Bar
Kleancolor has the least shimmer. It's a really pretty blue-green that leans a lot green. No color shift or anything, but still a pretty sweet color. Consistency is just right.
I love Dive Bar! This is the "walmart" version. It's a pretty blue-green shimmer with a very slight purple shift. It's a little thin which makes it a bit messy to apply.
I have to say the Spoiled is the real stunner here. It's a perfect peacock color. More pronounced purple shift to it. The consistency is a bit thick, but you could almost get away with using only one coat.

Verdict: None are dupes although the Essie and Spoiled are close.
If I had to get rid of one: This is a tough call. But, I'd have to say the Essie.

Two Glitters Side by Side

I thought these were kind of alike, until I put them side by side. Nothing similar going on here!
Both of these are over Wet-n-Wild I need a Refreshmint.
Pointer and Pinky - Spoiled: Pet My Peacock
Middle and Ring - Kleancolor: Afternoon Picnic
Two coats of each.

Peacock is actually pretty dense. It's different colored hex and round glitters suspended in a clear polish.

Afternoon Picnic is a whole bunch of different shaped and colored glitter pieces suspended in a clear-tealish color polish. It looks like a party in a bottle! It's definitely more green and blue oriented with some silver.
Spoiled is a lot of green, blue, gold, solver and even some lavendar glitter.

Verdict: Nothing alike!
If I had to get rid of one: If I HAD to, it wold be the Spoiled, but I wouldn't be happy about it.

Minty Fresh Comps

China Glaze "For Audrey" vs. Zoya "Wednesday" vs. Wet-n-Wild "I Need a Refresh-Mint"

Pointer Finger: For Audrey
Middle Finger: Wednesday
Ring Finger: I Need A Refresh-Mint
Pinky: For Audrey
The picture makes For Audrey and Refreshmint, look closer than they actually are in real life. Wednesday is a a bit dusky blue/green.
For Audrey leans more blue while the Wet-n-Wild leans more minty green. Wednesday isn't a dupe for either of them.

Verdict: I need all three.
If I had to get rid of one: Wet-n-Wild, because the brush is horrific!

While I was comping these, it occurred to me that the Zoya might be a dupe for Misa's "Dirty Sexy Money" so I went and dug out my bottle of it which I haven't seen in probably two years. It needed some shaking, that's for sure.

Pointer and Ring: "Dirty, Sexy, Money"
Middle and Pinky: Zoya "Wednesday"
Definitely not dupes either. The Misa is quite a bit darker.
Verdict: Love them both.
If I had to get rid of one: Misa, the formula is sucky and it takes forever to dry.

Lippman - Across the Universe

I have been waiting for over a year to get my hands on this polish...finally found it at Apothica...and then it was back-ordered for like, EVER! Then I wore it and only remembered to take one good picture. Such is life!

Milani - Molten Rock

I found this at CVS by accident. I wasn't even looking for nail polish - I swear!
It's metallic and teal-blue. Really gorgeous! It applies a little strangely. This was two coats. It's extremely durable, which was nice. A lot of metallics I have tried tend to be chippy.

P.S. If you were wondering, YES I broke my nails again and had to clip them down. Not so much broke, as I get these tears (?) very low on the nail on the sides. I have been trying to use Orly nail rescue which helps for a few days, but I gave up and went short, which always sucks because I am terrible at filing my nails and they end up being uneven for a few a little while. Poo.

Comparison Swatches!

Here we have 4 lovely shades of blue-green gorgeousness! Sinful "See You Soon" WnW Craze "Morbid" Barielle Shades "Blackened Blue" and Sinful "What's Your Name".
Similar...yes, but you can see they are all very different. Morbid seems to have more green. "See You Soon" and "Blackened Blue" are the closest, but the Barielle has way more shimmer to it, (even though it's hard to tell from my unholy slopped on mess -sorry!) "What's Your Name" is very thin and watery. This is probably 3 coats.

Then for fun, I added some flakies, cause let's admit it, flakies make everything prettier!

All of them in the sun.
